Cody, Wyoming - 4TH of JULY (Parade, Horseback riding, Rodeo) 2022

Parade, horseback riding (a first for Stella & Foster), old time photos and a rodeo.....what a fun and memorable Fourth Of July!!!
Since 1919 they Cody Stampede has been showcasing the best Cowboys and Cowgirls in the rodeo world. In celebration of our nations independence, the Cody Stampede is was the place to be. The contestants competed for nearly $400,000 in prize money. This event is sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) and The Women's Professional Rodeo Association.
Stella getting in the cowgirl spirit, wanting to ride the mechanical bull!
After our horseback excursion, we went over to see some real cowboys and cowgirls at the rodeo.
The four of us rode around Scott's property and Stella ended up riding the horse all by herself, around the inside of the barn!
Foster looked like he was ready for the rodeo! Foster - "I love Justin." He's my friend." (Refering to the mule)
Stella was estatic to ride! The one thing she mentioned on several occasions that she wanted to do. Today she got her wish thanks to Scott and Shelly! Stella - "When I get to Tennessee, can I take horse lessons."
At the parade we met longtime Cody residents and former town Vetenarian, Scott Moore and his wife Shelly. They made a very generous offer for us to swing by their place and ride horses, and mules.
For decades, thousands of spectators have lined Sheridan Avenue in downtown Cody to observe this magnificent spectacle. Glad we were able to see such a cool parade, a parade unlike anything that we've seen before. Cowboys, Gun fighters, vintage cars, John Deere Tractors, and much more. The kids were excited to get a ton of candy!
The Cody Stampede Parade is know the world over for being one of the best parades to attend over the July 4th holiday. The 103rd annual Cody Parade lived up to the hype!
Actor, Cole Hauser from the show Yellowstone was the Grand Marshal.
