Stella's 2 1/2 year check up - 11/8/16

Stella's 2 1/2 year check up. Blood pressure was 86/44 (42nd percentile)
Weight: 27 lbs 0 oz (27th percentile)
Height: 34.75 in (27th percentile)
All looks good and right on track with her milestones!
Mommy read Stella a book while waiting for a flu vaccination.....which she didn't even cry after receiving it.

Halloween visit form Uncle Cameron and Elise - 10/28-10/31/16

This group of animals escaped from the zoo.....please be on the look out and approach with extreme caution.
Uncle Cameron (tiger) Elise (owl) and Stella (puppy), Casper (to toro), Mom (kangaroo) and Dad (penguin) - Trick or Treat at the Shelburne Muesem.
Stella's daycare also held a parade and Halloween party.
The festivities included balloons, snacks and a kids parade around the building.
Stella asked for a dinosaur balloon.
We also made a trip to Cabot Creamery. Thanks for visiting Uncle Cameron, Elise and Casper!
Our Halloween wrapped up with some trick or treating in the neighborhood. It was the first time Stella really understood what was going on.

We told Stella that she couldn't eat any candy until we got back to the house, after about 10 house Stella turned to us and said "That's enough, let's go home." (she just wanted to eat some chocolate)
Pulled in a pretty good amount of candy.
Ummm...this is what I've been waiting for! Happy Halloween!

Christmas Trees

On the weekend before thanksgiving we went in search of our Christmas tree. The weather was beautiful- sunny and in the low 60's.

Joe had to do some research to find a place that was open or would at least let us come out before thanksgiving. We tried the Purinton Maple & Tree Farm in Huntington, VT.

They had lots and lots of balsam pine trees and they were really nice looking trees.

Stella enjoyed picking a needle off the tree to smell.

She also liked helping dad cut down the tree.

We left the tree farm with a nice ~7.5' tree and a quart of maple syrup.

Pumpkin picking & carving - 10/8/16

Our first stop was Boyden Winnery - Cambridge, VT. Joe sampled a few of the local wines and bought a bourbon barrel aged maple syrup.
Stella picked out our three pumpkins
and helped Mommy carry them to the truck.

Stella was a big help with cleaning out the pumpkins, Dad and Mom did the carving.
Toda....all finished!
An owl, a cat and......
a witch. Boo! Unfortunately the cold weather did a number on our pumpkins they didn't make it to Halloween. Lesson learned for next year....carve them a little closer to Halloween. Additional photos of Boyden Family Winery.
We were advised to stop at The Burger Shack on their last weekend of the season. Glad we did! Muy Bueno!
Cheese!

Lake George camping trip 9/30-10/02/16

Our last camping trip of the season was spent at Lake George, NY. King Phillips Campground (site #M2) probably our favorite site we camped at this season. Very private site, level, free cable, wifi and close to the playground.
Mom relaxing while Stella had fun with her puzzle game before bed.
Hello Mr. Moose!
Lots of things to do in Lake George...even a steam boat we will save for our next trip.
Downtown Lake George and the many shops, restaurants and attractions.
Stella found a chair that she will not outgrow.....
neither will Dad.
Time for some gelato!
Picked up some local bbq to eat that evening, followed by s'mores!
While shopping we picked up "magic fire" and pop-it snaps that Stella seemed to really enjoy.
