Foster's 3 month pics

Its hard to believe that Foster is already 3 months old! Mom is heading back to work tomorrow, June 1st.

Although he won't have another official weight check until his 4 month visit in a few weeks, we weighed him on the scale at home and he is just over 14 lbs.

Foster's first camping trip (part 1)

We had our first camp-out of the 2017 season which was also Foster's first camping trip. We drove over to Bar Harbor, ME for some early season camping at Hadley Point Campground.

As anyone who has spoken for more than a minute to Stella knows, she LOVES camping!

Her favorite is marshmallow roasting so we, of course, made lots of s'mores.

Foster enjoyed sitting (and snoozing) by the campfire.

Although, he didn't like the smoke when it blew his way.

Conversations with Stella

They may say no...
Stella, mommy, and Foster were talking about Nona and Grandpa "Old Daddy's" upcoming visit. She misunderstood and thought that we are going to Florida to visit instead of the grandparents coming north.
Mommy: This will be the first time Foster gets to meet Nona and Grandpa, won't it Stell?
Stella (to Baby brother): You can ask but Nona and Grandpa might say No
Mommy: what would they say No to?
Stella: to baby brother.
Mommy: they would say no to Baby Brother for a visit? Why?
Stella (to mommy): when we visit
Stella (to Foster): they may say no to you
Mommy: they might say no baby brother visiting? Would they let mommy & daddy & Stella visit?
Stella: yes, they may not want Foster to visit their house

I don't...
Foster was looking at mommy's shirt - it was black and white stripes. Mommy said to Foster "do you like my shirt?"
Stella said something about the shirt too.
Mommy (to Stella): oh, you like shirt too.
Stella: I don't.

Close the door!
Mommy and Daddy have stopped fully closing the bathroom door since, inevitably, someone will need something immediately.
Stella (to Daddy in the bathroom): close the door all the way daddy!
Daddy: ok, I thought you might need something
Stella: I don't want to smell your nasty poo poo!

Foster worried about sister

Sister Stella was practicing with her scissors before dinner this evening.

She got her finger a little with the end of the scissors (no blood) and started crying.

As soon as Stella started to cry, baby brother started sympathy crying. It took Daddy picking him up and showing him that Stella was ok to get him to stop crying.

Foster almost sitting up

Foster spends a lot of time in his bouncy seat while we make dinner, play with Stella, or eat.

Today he started trying to sit up more in his bouncy.

Won't be too long before he's sitting up in sister's old bumbo or in the boppy pillow at his playmat.

Foster's 1 and 2 month pics

Foster is almost 3 months old now. We have been taking monthly pictures to track his growth and developmental changes. With the move, remodel, Stella's 3rd birthday party and everything else, we are behind posting those pictures. So, without further ado, here are his 1st and 2nd month pics...

Month 1
Foster didnt want to look at the camera so getting a clear face shot was tough.

Month 2
Foster looked at the camera more and big sister Stella loved being part of the shoot.

First mow of the season

DadJoe got the mowing running today and was able to take advantage of the (finally!) seasonal weather - sunny and in the 60's

Of course, Stella wanted to help out. She took a few supervisory turns around the yard with dad.

As you can tell, the mower was a little loud for her. Thankfully the yard isn't that big so she only had to tolerate the noise for about 10 minutes.

Even baby brother Foster enjoyed the weather in his bouncy chair with the umbrella.
