Slept through the night

Typically, Foster will go to bed around 10pm with Mom. He usually wakes up between 2:30-3:30 to nurse for a bit before falling back to sleep until around 7 or 8 am.

Last night, June 28th, he slept right thru his normal mid-night snack time. He slept until almost 6am...8 hours!

Planting the garden

This weekend, we finally had some decent, warm weather and (hopefully) past any frost. So, it was time to plant the garden.

Dad did a great job building a nice raised bed out of cedar posts and then filling it with a mixture of compost and soil.

After picking up some tomatoes, squash, and chard from the store Mom, Stella, & Foster planted the garden.

We had some well deserved ice cream!

Foster laughing

Foster is very smiley and friendly to most anyone who talks to him.

Yesterday, 6/12, he laughed for the first time. Mom was playfully pulling his bottle away from his mouth when he let out a short chuckle.

He seemed to like the game and continues smiling and cooing for several minutes.

Big sister and baby brother

Foster's favorite thing to do these days is to sit up and observe his surroundings, especially his big sister.

Its hard to tell from the angle of the picture, but he is intently watching Stella build a tower.

He loves to see everything that is happening around him particularly related to what Stella is doing. She is very good at playing with him. She patiently tells him everything she is doing, gives him hugs and kisses, and makes sure he is comfortable.

Foster's 3 month pics

Its hard to believe that Foster is already 3 months old! Mom is heading back to work tomorrow, June 1st.

Although he won't have another official weight check until his 4 month visit in a few weeks, we weighed him on the scale at home and he is just over 14 lbs.

Foster's first camping trip (part 1)

We had our first camp-out of the 2017 season which was also Foster's first camping trip. We drove over to Bar Harbor, ME for some early season camping at Hadley Point Campground.

As anyone who has spoken for more than a minute to Stella knows, she LOVES camping!

Her favorite is marshmallow roasting so we, of course, made lots of s'mores.

Foster enjoyed sitting (and snoozing) by the campfire.

Although, he didn't like the smoke when it blew his way.

Conversations with Stella

They may say no...
Stella, mommy, and Foster were talking about Nona and Grandpa "Old Daddy's" upcoming visit. She misunderstood and thought that we are going to Florida to visit instead of the grandparents coming north.
Mommy: This will be the first time Foster gets to meet Nona and Grandpa, won't it Stell?
Stella (to Baby brother): You can ask but Nona and Grandpa might say No
Mommy: what would they say No to?
Stella: to baby brother.
Mommy: they would say no to Baby Brother for a visit? Why?
Stella (to mommy): when we visit
Stella (to Foster): they may say no to you
Mommy: they might say no baby brother visiting? Would they let mommy & daddy & Stella visit?
Stella: yes, they may not want Foster to visit their house

I don't...
Foster was looking at mommy's shirt - it was black and white stripes. Mommy said to Foster "do you like my shirt?"
Stella said something about the shirt too.
Mommy (to Stella): oh, you like shirt too.
Stella: I don't.

Close the door!
Mommy and Daddy have stopped fully closing the bathroom door since, inevitably, someone will need something immediately.
Stella (to Daddy in the bathroom): close the door all the way daddy!
Daddy: ok, I thought you might need something
Stella: I don't want to smell your nasty poo poo!
