Helping mom pack

Stella helped mom pack up for her work trip to Vermont.

Mom leaves Monday and then dad and Stella will be coming up on Wednesday. 

Feeding the dogs

A few weeks ago Stella discovered (and probably tasted) the dogs' food.

Today she found that if she put some dog food on the ground, the dogs would eat it.

She fed Gus the entire bowl of dog food a handful of kibble at a time.

Gus quickly found that he wasn't allowed to get food from the bowl himself when Stella grabbed his ear. Max observed from a safer distance after she gave his ears a good tug when he went for the bowl.

First Popsicle

It is a beautiful May afternoon. Stella is taking advantage of the nice weather and is playing outside.

She tried her first summertime Popsicle.

At first she didn't seem to like the cold Popsicle...maybe a little too icy. But, after a few tries, she really liked it.

It's hard to tell, but that is the Popsicle stick in her mouth.

1 year check-up

On April 28th, Stella had her one year check-up with Dr Javier. 

The doctor said everything looks perfect! She weighed in at 18lbs 14ozs and is 29.5".

She did get a couple of shots that she, of course, didn't like.

Hand, foot, & mouth disease is going around Stella's daycare but the doctor said that at least for now, she doesn't have it.

Stella's First Year

Stella had her first birthday on April 16th, 2015!

The last 12 months have been full of firsts for Stella and for Mom and Dad as well. Looking back at some of the pictures, I realize that some of our most precious memories have happened in the last year. From Stella's first cry in the hospital when we all met her for the first time...

To those chaotic, exhausting first few weeks at home...

To starting daycare, going back to work, first trips and vacations...

To all the new things Stella learned like grabbing, eating, (almost) walking, crawling...

And all the new things Mom and Dad learned: diaper changing, soothing her to sleep, making her laugh...

The most important things we've learned is how much we love our little Stella and are so glad we've gotten to spend the last year getting to know her! We look forward to the many memories to come.

Stella 11 month–March 2015

A little late posting these, but here are Stella’s 11 month pictures. Hard to believe that we are closing in on a year!

Yes, she will patiently let us take her picture most of the time, but…..

then the Stella-monster arrives! Hurry up Dad….you’re taking away from my play time.
