Foster’s next round of teeth

Foster has had his front 4 (2 on top and 2 on bottom) for several months now.

His next four are just poking through his gums.

In other news, he finally figured out how to climb on to sister’s bed. He’s been trying for months and made it all the way up last night.

He also only wants to drink out of big kid/adult glasses - sippy cups are so last week!

Foster has started mimicing others especially by shaking his head.

Foster’s 1st Birthday Party

Since we are still pretty new to Vermont and are definitely still in the middle if winter, we decided to celebrate Foster’s big day with just the family.

Big sister Stella made and decorated delicious cupcakes.

and helped by wrapping some of the gifts from Nona and O.D. (A.k.a. Grandpa). He still didn’t fully understand the present concept.

Stella was more than willing to help and was especially excited that the grandparents had included a little treat for her as well.

We got him a bunch of balloons to play with.

He really went to town on his ‘smash’ cupcake.

His final gift from us was a bubble machine.

They both loved chasing and popping the bubbles in the living room...

As well as in their evening bath.

It was a nice birthday celebration for our big little guy!

Foster turns 1!

It seems like only yesterday we were starting what we thought was going to be a lazy Saturday morning. It didn’t take long once for us to realize that little Foster was going to be making his debut and it was going to be a while before we have another lazy Saturday.

One year later and he’s still keeping us on our toes.

Foster is full of energy and very curious about everything in his world. He has started pointing to things and asking “that?” to hear what it is called. He also says “that!” to get whatever the item is. He especally likes cheese popcorn and other finger foods.

He anxiously waits every day for his favorite person, Stella, to come home and play with him.

He is loving and generous-always sharing his snacks and toys.

Foster is good at walking and lately has been dancing.
He is a rambuctious, sweet, and loved one year old! We are so glad he joined our family one year ago!

update from 2/20:
Foster had his 1 year checkup with the doctor.

Foster’s new skills

Foster has become a pretty good walker - not as many stumbles and moving quicker.

His new found mobility has allowed to explore more and test out other skills, such as hanging from the oven handle...

And opening the bathroom door so he can play in the potty. Or easily reach a box of tissues...

He’s also gotten quite skilled at emptying the lower kitchen cabinets...

He is also working on his fine motor skills and practices often by getting the dog food into his mouth...
