4 month doctor appointment

On Friday, August 22, Stella had her 4 month check up.

She is meeting all her milestones for her age: lots of drooling, babbling and holding her head up. She is 24.5" tall and 13lbs. 

She was in a great mood until it was shot time. She recovered pretty quickly thanks to some cuddles from dad.

 

Stella's 1st laugh for Dad

After changing Stella's diaper Dad was being goofy & making funny sounds, Stella started laughing. It was the 1st time she really laughed. 8/11/14

We are a little late on posting the 4 month pictures….considering we are closing in on 5 months. When we took these pictures, she started smiling a lot more, babbling quite a bit and drooling constantly.


Her balance is coming around and she is less wobbly when standing, but still needs help pulling and holding herself up.

She has outgrown most of her newborn clothes at this point. At her 4 month checkup, she weighed in at 13lbs and 24 1/2 inches in height.

She still sleeps through the night, but occasionally she will wake up for a 3am diaper change or feeding.

Stella loves her four-legged brothers

A few weeks ago Stella noticed Max and Gus. She loves to watch them as the walk around the house or play in the yard.

Max and Gus have always had a strong interest in their new "little sister" too. 

Starting the first week we brought her home, they formed a parade behind Stella as we walked around the house in an effort to soothe her.

Max is especially protective of her. If she starts to cry, he is usually up pretty quick to see what she needs. Too bad he hasn't learn to change diapers yet!

Although Gus was a little unsure of her at first, they both love Stella.

After a quick diaper change she was all smiles. 

Smiling at Mom and enjoying her 1st day on the lake. Max looking on as a life guard, always ready to jump in the water to save a throw toy. Right now Max is just hoping that Colby will toss him his toy already, while Dad and Stella enjoy the water.

Little buddy's 1st trip to the lake

It was a great day to go up to Norris Lake - high 80's on this 2nd day of August. Stella seemed to enjoy her 1st boat ride and day on the lake. She was very calm and relaxed just taking it all in. 

It was just Dad, Mom, our little lake girl and the dogs today. Dad had Stella out on a float for a few minutes before Mom took her back to the shade. We didn't want little buddy to get a sun burn. 

All in all things went smooth for Stella's 1st trip to the lake. We are looking forward to many more lake days ahead!
