A very special day - Colby's 1st Mother's Day 5/11/14

Happy 1st Mother's Day! Colby enjoying this special time with her little girl
(3 weeks young)
This photo was taken in the first two weeks, but a great photo for a Mother's Day wish.
Mom, Dad and Stella pose for a Mother's Day family photo. 5/11/14
Grandma, Aunt Jen, Colby, Stella and Joe went to Cracker Barrel to celebrate this special Mother's Day, before they had to go back home.
A personalized photo frame. Now we just need the right picture to go into it.

May 3rd thru May 11th - Grandma and Aunt Jen visit and more.

Grandma and Aunt Jen made the trip from Cleveland to Knoxville for the week. Grandma got to meet and spoil her little Granddaughter for the 1st time. 5/3/14
As you can see below. Stella enjoys all the attention. Colby took this while Stella was sleeping.
On Monday, May 5th - Doctor appointment. Stella was weighed at 8lbs 13oz. Putting on 11oz. (almost a pound) in 4/5 days. After about three weeks she exceeded her birth weight of 8lbs 12oz.
A special treat, Stella had all three of her Grandparents in the room at the same time. Last couple of days in the Foster house (Kingsport, TN) before closing.
Grandma reads to sleeping beauty.
Three generations enjoy a beautiful spring day in Tennessee. Below: Aunt Jen happy to hold her Niece.

Stella now two weeks young.

Stella taking a mid-day nap. Good time for her sleep deprived parents to catch up on some zzzz as well.
4/30/14 - two weeks have already gone by since her birth. Mom and Dad spending time with their little girl.
On Tuesday night  4/29/14 - Stella's umbilical cord fell off.

The umbilical cord, (baby's lifeline) connects a baby in the womb to its mother. It runs from an opening in your baby’s stomach to the placenta in the womb. The average cord is about 50cm (20 inches) long. In the placenta, oxygen and nutrients from your bloodstream pass into your baby's bloodstream and are carried to your baby along the umbilical cord.

Sleeping beauty!

Stella's first bath

Stella was very calm and relaxed for her first bath. 4/27/14
Mom wiping her down with warm water and a soft cloth. Dad holding Stella's head as we get ready to wash her hair.
Pampering her before bed. We thought she was going to kick and scream, but she really enjoyed her 1st bath.

Funny face

One our favorite faces. We've noticed this face usually before pooping her diaper. Hmmm....coincidence or the poopy face?

Stella and her Dad

Stella likes to hear her dad's voice, ecspecially when he sings - on top of spaghetti.
A wide eyed and awake Stella staring at the celing fan. She seems to have an obsession with the fan.
